| | MALE Leadership Academy students are currently conducting their own Power Tie Giveaways to different classes on the Jordan High School campus. These students are learning how to lead by serving others; all while teaching a functional skill to their peers. |
Taking it on the Road
On March 20, 2020, The Male Leadership Academy students will be traveling and conducting the Power Tie Giveaway at three area Junior High Schools. These schools are Lindbergh, Lindsey and Hughes Junior High Schools.
Our Goal of Reaching More Students is Making Progress
| The Power Partners USA Power Tie Giveaway is impacting students we reach in a positive way. By showing the students how to conduct the Power Tie Giveaway, we are able to expand the number of ties we gift as well as teach each student the skill of knowing how to knot their own necktie. With that skill, each student now has the option to decide when and where they can wear a tie knowing they know how to knot the tie. Along the way and with the guidance of their teacher, Bryan Carter, the students are learning leadership, organization, | |
presentation, and delegation skills. They are taking on the responsibility and challenge of walking into classes of 30+ students and accomplishing their mission of teaching fellow students the knot tying skill. As an example, in just one hour, these kids gifted donated ties and taught over 70 other Jordan high students how to knot the necktie.
They are impacting their fellow students in meaningful and tangible ways.
