On Wednesday, May 4th, Power Partners USA members met at Comerica Bank. We provided our members the opportunity to meet Charles Chang from CMC Realty in Long Beach. Charles will be the incoming president of NARPM® Property Managers Association. A few Power Partner USA members already attended a NARPM monthly meeting and found their members to be highly interactive with one another within their industry. Alan Armijo, president of Power Partners USA commented, “There is a lot of synergy between what NARPM does as a group and what we are trying to offer our Power Partner USA members by way of meaningful, targeted introductions.” Industries represented at the NARPM meeting included banking, contracting, insurance, legal, background screening, home security and more. Charles indicated they want to increase their presence and interaction with various vendors serving the property management industry. Alan said, “We are following up and now discussing with Charles how Power Partner USA members can have a more direct interaction with NARPM members. Power Partners Bethany Guajardo from Team Beth and Alan Armijo of Tech International both are in the business of developing websites. They both provide quality graphic design and functional website technology. However, they work in two different website technology platforms. Team Beth specializes in WordPress while Tech International uses a proprietary Content Management System. Recently, Alan received a lead for a website project. After hearing the requirements, Alan realized that the client wanted a WordPress type website. Alan immediately called Bethany to strategize how they could work together to meet the clients specifications. Tech International sub contracted the majority of the design and technical work to Team Beth. Tech International handled the business development and project management. The only way this collaboration between “competitors” could have happened is knowing what each other’s capabilities were. Seeing an opportunity for Cisco, Alan arranged a meeting with a Tech International client who owns a national trucking association. The trucking association owner agreed to make Business Funding 4 You their exclusive alternative funding source. The trucking association has a national reach and has promoted and funded Cisco’s services throughout the country. To date, Cisco has processed over 6.1 million dollars of loan applications through the trucking association. Bill Cross from Background Screening Solutions connected with fellow Power Partner USA member Peter Bennett of Alchemy Communications, Inc. They agreed to look for referral opportunities that benefit each other's businesses. Last week Peter referred Bill to a friend who owns a retained search company. Bill spoke with her on Tuesday and she has agreed to use Background Screen Solution services for some of their background screening needs.
