Below is a summary about our first Round Table event on Nov. 15th
Adalita Silva of Comerica Bank, our host from the event and Power Partner USA member commented, “I loved the “hats off” discussion. It’s great to have business partners we can openly discuss current issues with.”
Power Partner USA members discussed a variety of financial topics with the much of the conversation about the impacts of the potential Congressional tax plan. |
Power Partner USA member Phil Shekerlian, an Estate and Tax Planning Attorney, provided attendees a great breakdown and explanation of the tax plan under consideration and how it could impact businesses. Phil reminded, "The proposed changes we discussed are just that, proposed. They are not law yet. The most important thing people can do is to hire a professional and experienced attorney, CPA, EA, or tax preparer."
Power Partner USA Round Table discussions get into “the weeds” and the “nitty gritty” aspect of our business topics. Because of the high-level conversation, we had a moderator to guide and keep the conversation on track and provide beneficial information for all. |
Jason Stone from Barth Financial Advisors, LLC was our moderator and commented, “Power Partners USA put together a wonderful round table event. I thought the format was well thought out and the discussion flowed well. This format provided for a lot of different viewpoints that were delivered in an efficient and thoughtful way. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next opportunity to do it again!”
We feel that attendees gained valuable insight and now have excellent professional resources to call on to help them in financial, banking, accounting and tax matters. We are considering a follow up event once there is finalization of the Congressional tax plan. - Alan Armijo - Power Partners USA |
