Financial Alliance & Insurance Solutions Hosts April 28 Pickleball Tournament Focused on Fun, Learning, and Client Relationships

Financial Alliance & Insurance Solutions, led by owner and Power Partner USA member, Kurtis Barnett, brought clients and guests together on April 28, 2026, for a lively pickleball tournament designed to strengthen relationships, encourage fun, and introduce many attendees to Pickleball.

“We had honestly just had some clients that had asked about doing a pickleball event because we try to do other fun events,” Kurtis explained. “So we finally put one on last year, and then we just did another one today.”

While the tournament was primarily designed for existing clients, guests were encouraged to attend as well. The result was a well-attended event that blended current clients with new connections.

“I think it turned out really well,” Kurtis said. “I think everybody had a lot of fun.”

A Tournament Designed for Beginners and Experienced Players Alike

One of the standout features of the April 28 tournament was how welcoming it was to people who had never played pickleball before.

Close to half of the attendees were new to the game. To ensure everyone felt comfortable, those with little or no experience were grouped together and introduced to the rules and fundamentals of the game. They participated in introductory lessons and drills designed to speed up their learning and help them quickly gain confidence.

By the end of the session, many first-time players had developed the skills needed to comfortably walk onto a court and begin playing recreational games on their own.

Meanwhile, those who already had experience with pickleball moved directly into competitive play, keeping the courts active and the energy high throughout the day.

This thoughtful format created an inclusive environment where everyone—regardless of skill level—could participate and enjoy the experience.

Food, Fellowship, and Friendly Competition 
After tournament play concluded, participants gathered to enjoy a taco lunch followed by ice cream desserts, creating a relaxed setting for conversation and connection.

Prizes were awarded to participants, adding excitement and recognition to the friendly competition that had taken place throughout the day.

Events like this reflect Kurtis’s philosophy that strong relationships are built through shared experiences, trust, and meaningful interaction—not just meetings in an office.

“We try to make it fun,” Kurtis shared. “Most people don’t love talking about financial stuff, so we bring people together and make it enjoyable.”

​A Growing Practice and New Office Location

In addition to hosting client events and educational seminars, Kurtis and his team are continuing to expand their presence with a new office location at 19112 Gridley Road in Cerritos, CA.

The office is already open and serving clients, though finishing touches and organization are still underway. A formal grand opening is expected once the space is fully completed—an event that will likely bring clients, referral partners, and guests together once again.

This expansion reflects the continued growth of Financial Alliance & Insurance Solutions and the increasing demand for the services they provide.

What’s Coming Next: A Full Calendar of Educational Events
After a brief pause in their event schedule, the coming months will be filled with seminars designed to help clients better understand their financial options and make informed decisions about their future.

  • Income for Life Seminars – Designed to help retirees create dependable retirement income streams.

  • Insurance Planning Sessions – Focused on protecting assets and providing financial security.

Tax planning is an area of growing interest, especially as more individuals seek strategies to legally reduce tax burdens. Kurtis explains that many of these seminars begin with simple strategies most people can implement and expand into more personalized approaches once individual needs are understood.

This coordinated approach reflects Kurtis’s belief that financial decisions work best when investments, insurance, taxes, and long-term planning are aligned rather than handled separately—helping clients protect their savings, create reliable income, and prepare confidently for retirement.
